DE-CIX Dallas: Connecting over 100 networks and a new traffic peak

Dallas header

Last week, DE-CIX Dallas crossed the 300 Gigabits per second (Gbps) threshold for the first time. Due to overall traffic developments, we have been expecting this. The bets were on which one, Dallas or Dusseldorf, which have been neck in neck, will cross the 300 Gbps line first. Dallas got there first!

Connectivity throughout Texas

Dallas now also has over 100 connected networks, and – after only five years in operation – it ranks among the top 15 Internet Exchanges in the US. DE-CIX Dallas is carrier and data center neutral and the platform is available from several colocation and data center facilities enabling connectivity throughout the greater Texas region.

Part of the largest neutral interconnection ecosystem

From Dallas, you can also access the DE-CIX platforms in Chicago and New York, providing seamless reach to additional networks in North America. Together, our exchanges in North America create the largest carrier and data center neutral interconnection ecosystem on the continent.
